Meet The Panelists
Aaron Beckman
Active Firefighter from Norfolk,NE

Aaron Beckman has been an active firefighter from Norfolk, NE since 1999. He has a strong background in fire science and has been documenting scenes for over 20 years for the fire department. He works with multiple agencies in Nebraska and has aided in numerous cases. Since 2014, he has been mapping investigations utilizing various products. In 2019 he assisted several agencies during the Midwest floods for search and rescue, search and recovery and structural damages mapping. He has been involved in beta testing for many different products and soft wares for several different companies in the drone industry.

Brandon Karr
Fmr. Police Officer and DFR Solutions Engineer

Brandon Karr is from Pearland, Texas and is the former Chief Pilot, UAS Program Coordinator, and night shift patrolman for the Pearland Police Department. Brandon started his interest in aviation in 2006 where he earned his Commercial and Certified Flight Instructor licenses for manned fixed wing single-engine, multi-engine, and instrument ratings. He used his aviation knowledge and experience to start the Pearland Police Department’s UAS program and since has assisted over 250 other agencies start or develop their programs across the nation. He has developed Pearland PD’s UAS program to be integrated into patrol, K9, SWAT, crash reconstruction, and crime scene functions. Brandon is a committee member on two subcommittees for the State of Texas regarding the implementation of sUAS for major disasters or incidents.

Grant Hosticka
DJI - Head of Solutions Engineering, North America

Grant helps enterprise users successfully deploy drones. One of the first to graduate with a degree in the quickly growing field of Unmanned Systems, before joining DJI Grant built on his educational experience through running his own drone service company, working in the utility field completing inspections of critical infrastructure, and building software using artificial intelligence to automate the review of inspection photos taken by drone.
